Malaria is an infectious disease which is caused by the bite of a parasite namely plasmodium, commonly known as malaria infected mosquito. This is in fact one of the fatal infections which can lead to severe illness, and at times might cause death. There are several symptoms of malaria, the most prominent ones of which include flu, fever, sweating, chill cycles, headaches and pain. The parasites which cause malaria have the ability to infect red blood cells in the body.

There are four main types of malaria, some of which are not that much dangerous, while others can even prove life-threatening. One of the fatal types is that of Plasmodium falciparum malaria. This is the most dangerous type, which can infect a person to the stage that he/she might suffer from death.

Therefore, to avoid reaching such a critical stage, one must immediately consult the doctor when any of these symptoms are suspected. At the initial stages, it’s not that complicated to control even the severe form of malaria, because the usage of effective drugs will develop resistance in the body to fight back against the infection and hence eradicate its effects.

Malaria in its severe forms has been reported to show the symptoms of cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dysfunction of liver or kidneys and sometimes nervous breakdown issues. These symptoms mostly occur when the disease has entered its later stages. At this stage, the case becomes complicated and therefore requires hospitalization of patients in order to control it before it leads to life threatening situation.
